At Grace Ridge Farm, all puppy sales are non-refundable once a puppy has been purchased. There is one exception to this policy: if a puppy fails a medical examination at your veterinarian’s office within the first 3 days of arriving in your home. One of the things that sets us apart is that all of our puppies are thoroughly examined by our own veterinarian before selection, which helps ensure a healthy puppy and minimizes any disappointment for your family. A refund will only be issued if a puppy is returned to us after failing a veterinarian examination under this policy. Initial Health Exam To maintain the validity of your puppy’s health warranty: 1. The purchaser agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 working days of transfer. 2. If the veterinarian identifies an existing medical problem, the puppy may be returned for a full refund. 3. At the Breeder’s request, the purchaser must provide a second evaluation by a veterinarian of the Breeder’s choice (at the Breeder’s expense) before any refund is issued. 4. Immediate notification of the initial veterinary exam must be sent to Grace Ridge Farm via email at graceridgeretrievers@gmail.com. Failure to notify the Breeder will void all health guarantees. Genetic or Major Health Issues If the puppy is diagnosed with a major genetic or hereditary issue during the initial exam: 1. The buyer should contact Grace Ridge English Retrievers immediately to initiate a claim. 2. The Breeder may request the puppy be returned at the buyer’s expense. 3. There is a specific protocol for this process, so it is essential to contact the Breeder immediately. 4. Our goal is to provide a premium puppy buying experience and deliver the highest level of care, transparency, and customer service in the Labrador world. Limitations & Exclusions Due to the prevalence of Parvovirus and Kennel Cough in veterinarian offices, pet stores, and public spaces, Grace Ridge English Retrievers cannot be held liable for these diseases.

Health Guarantee & Buyer Agreement At Grace Ridge English Retrievers, we are deeply committed to raising healthy, well-tempered puppies from carefully selected, health-tested parents. We stand behind the health and genetics of our puppies and proudly offer a 3-year health guarantee against the most common hereditary and congenital conditions found in Golden Retrievers. Coverage Our guarantee covers life-threatening or severely debilitating congenital and hereditary conditions, including but not limited to: • Hip and elbow dysplasia (hereditary only — see below) • Heart defects • Genetic eye diseases (including PRA and cataracts) • Neurological disorders confirmed as hereditary in nature If a condition covered under this guarantee is diagnosed, the buyer must notify the breeder within 10 business days of diagnosis and follow the process outlined below. Hip & Elbow Dysplasia Clause This guarantee covers hereditary hip and elbow dysplasia only. It does not cover dysplasia or joint issues resulting from: • Injury, trauma, or accidents (e.g., jumping off furniture, stairs, decks, or vehicles) • Over-exercise during the puppy’s growth period • Improper nutrition, rapid weight gain, or obesity • Excessive forced exercise before the puppy reaches 18 months of age To maintain coverage, the puppy must be: • Fed a high-quality, large-breed puppy food appropriate for controlled growth • Maintained at a healthy weight for its age and build • Protected from repetitive jumping, rough play on hard surfaces, and stair climbing during development Only cases verified by PennHIP-certified testing and confirmed as hereditary will qualify under this health guarantee. Requirements in the Event of a Health Concern To ensure full transparency and accuracy, the following steps are required before any replacement or compensation is offered: 1. The buyer must provide a written report from a licensed veterinarian that includes the diagnosis, test results, and any supporting documentation. 2. The buyer must allow Grace Ridge’s veterinarian to review and verify all medical records and findings. 3. In some cases, the breeder’s veterinarian may request additional testing or imaging at the owner’s expense to confirm or clarify the diagnosis. 4. The breeder reserves the right to consult directly with the diagnosing veterinarian to ensure a complete understanding of the case. This process protects both the buyer and the breeder by ensuring all medical information is verified and that the puppy’s best interests remain the top priority. Resolution Options If a hereditary or congenital issue is confirmed by both veterinarians, Grace Ridge will offer one of the following remedies: • A replacement puppy of equal value from the next available litter, or • A partial refund of up to 50% of the original purchase price, depending on the nature and severity of the condition. All remedies are offered at the breeder’s discretion and only after the veterinary verification process has been completed. Buyer Responsibilities To keep this guarantee valid, buyers agree to: • Schedule a veterinary examination within 72 hours of taking the puppy home. • Maintain routine veterinary care, including vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention. • Feed a high-quality diet appropriate for large breed puppies. • NuVet Plus Supplement Requirement - To maintain your breeder health guarantee, you must keep your dog on NuVet Plus from the puppy stage and throughout adulthood. If at any time the buyer can no longer care for their dog, Grace Ridge English Retrievers must be contacted. We will assist in rehoming or require that the dog be returned to us. Under no circumstances should a Grace Ridge puppy be surrendered to a shelter or rescue organization.
